45 years as a pioneering digital painter, sculptor, writer and editor. Winner of 2 Golden Web Awards and an Academic Excellence Award.
Author of 33 books of digital imaging and poetry. Over 350 world wide exhibitions including more than 60 solo shows. Creator of AI compositions, lyrics, and surrealist paintings.
Where do you find inspiration for your art?
As a human being trying to navigate what is happening to our species as we transform from carbon DNA to binary robotic creatures.
When is your favorite time of day to create, and why?
All day. Every day. The world we live in is infintely complex and challenging.

Digital everything.
What motivates you to create?
An inner voice that demands to be heard. A creative imperative to explain ourselves to ourselves. A desire to be remembered by future
generations as a species that cared, that mattered, A recipient of a gift of nature, and thus a need to use that gift for the betterment of humanity.
How do you define success as an artist?
Success comes from the artistic journey itself, from constant learning and experimenting, from the joy of seeing imaginary forms emerge under my hand, from the wonder of what can be created and the feedback from others who understand.
Does art help you in other areas of your life?
Art IS my live, an all-consuming passion.
How do you develop your art skills?
Constant observation, endless practice, learning to see, trying new processes
Are you formally trained as an artist or self-taught?
Any passionate artist is born with a gift and burdened with a requirement to develop that gift. It does not matter if that development takes place in an institution - it simply demands that you immerse yourself, observe, learn to see, and continue evolving.
How has your education helped you in your career?
It has taught me to question certainties, to look for answers, to delve beneath the surface, to ask Why Not, to respect other cultures and means of expression, to be open to new ways of being in the world.
What are your most valued skills as an artist?
Curiosity. persistence, patience, an open mind, a passion to look around the corner and see what is coming next.
