Let me just tell you how I wrote this 'Poiman Karadu' story. On the way I saw a place called 'Poiman Karadu' when I went to the appreciation ceremony held at Namakkal for the great poet Sriramalingampillai. I also saw the magician who appeared in the cave of that forest. That magic came from the mountain cave and penetrated into my mind cave. Was very disturbing. No matter how many good words I said it refused to leave my mind. In the dream and in the consciousness, in unexpected places and in unexpected times, the lieutenant caught my attention and took my life. One day I was furious and said, 'Oh, liar! Are you leaving my mind or not? If you don't go, I'll write a story about you and make you laugh! ' I said. That 's it. I finally finished writing a story. The characters are mostly from Salem district. Characters I used to see during my stay at the Gandhi Ashram in Tiruchengode. If it appears to the reader that some of the characters are rude and that the story is rough in some places, I would like to inform you that it is not my fault, except for the defect of the place where the story took place. Lies are sometimes encountered in the life of each of us. By that time they seem real.

Conversations turns into story telling of one’s lifetime experience of visiting a Island somewhere below the Sri Lanka.A Writer who forced to take a trip to India from Burma aka Myanmar due to outbreak of war. Unfortunately or fortunately he get to travel in a old crowded ship.Due to Fear of bombers captain of the ship takes them to near by island. Beauty of the island invites everyone to it but few along with captain travels to the island.Where captain explains his earlier visit to island and take them back to ship. But writer wish to spend some more time before the ship continues its voyage so he hide himself behind the trees. Captain and passengers takes the row boat and ride back to the ship.They realise they left someone behind but due to sunset they decide to stay back in ship till dawn. Writer revisit the spot he enjoyed few moments back and experience something strange events.How those strange events impact him? Did he able to return back to ship? What story is awaiting for the writer to tell his friends is all about the story.

கோட்டை வாசலுக்கு எதிரே அகழியை தூர்த்துக் கொண்டு யானைகளை ஏவினால்.., மத்த கஜங்களின் தாக்குதலுக்கு எதிரே கோட்டையின் மரக் கதவுகள் என்ன செய்யும்?வாதாபி வீரர்கள் அப்படிதான் செய்யப் போகிறார்கள்.நமது கோட்டை வாசல் எதிரில் அகழியை தூர்க்கப் போகிறார்கள். பெரிய பெரிய மரங்களை வெட்டிக் கொண்டு வந்து பாலம் போடப் போகிறார்கள்.பாலத்தின் வழியே கோட்டைக்கதவுகள் தகர்க்க யானைகளை ஏவப் போகிறார்கள்..அந்த யானைகளுக்கு முதலில் மதுவைக் கொடுத்து விட்டுதான் ஏவப் போகிறார்கள்.அந்த யானைகள் எப்படிப்பட்ட அதிசயத்தை அனுபவிக்கப் போகின்றன.கோட்டை வாசலின் மேல் மண்டபத்தில் இருந்தும் பக்கத்து மதில் சுவர்களின் மேல் இருந்தும் ''வஜ்ராயுதம்'' விழுவது போல் வேல்கள் வந்து யானைகளின் தலை மீது விழும்.அந்த மது உண்ட யானைகள் பயங்கரமாய் பிளிறிக்கொண்டு திரும்பி ஓடி வாதாபி வீரர்களை துவைத்து நாசமாக்கப் போகிறது.மேலே இருந்து விழுகிற வேல்களுக்கு தப்பி சில யானைகள் வந்து கதவில் மோதும். அதனால்,கோட்டைக்கதவு பிளக்கும்அப்போது அந்த யானைகளுக்கு அதிசயம் காத்திருக்கும்.வெளிக்கதவு பிளந்ததும்,உள்ளே நீட்டிக் கொண்டிருக்கும் வேல் முனைகள் அவற்றின் மண்டையை பிளக்கும் போது அந்த யானைகள் வந்த வேகத்தை விட திரும்பி ஓடும் வேகம் அபாரமாக இருக்கும்...
